ABOUT ME

Dr. Cecily Anne Clark-Ganheart, MD, FACOG is a maternal-fetal and obesity medicine physician and speaker, located in the Kansas City Area.  She became interested in obesity medicine after her struggles with weight loss.  Like many of you, Dr. Cecily Anne would experience temporary weight loss, only to regain much of what she lost.

At the time of the birth of her second son, she reached her highest adult weight of 264 pounds.  That was in 2014. After that time, she had multiple attempts at weight loss.  Dr. Cecily Anne reached a weight of 202 pounds through an employer-sponsored weight loss program at the time. However, the weight began to return, though she followed the plan.

In 2017, Dr. Cecily Anne came across a book recommendation, entitled, The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung.  It discussed intermittent fasting and presented obesity as a disease, rather than a lack of will power.  The next book I read was Deep Nutrition by Dr. Cate Schanahan, which talked about a more ancestral approach to eating involving whole, real foods.

Through combining intermittent fasting and real foods, Dr. Cecily Anne has lost over 55 pounds.  She now incorporates her personal experience, knowledge of intermittent fasting, and knowledge of obesity medicine to assist patients in achieving health beyond the scale.  In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Cecily Anne enjoys creating informational posts regarding health and wellness. You can follow her journey on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook or subscribe to her monthly newsletter.
